The only option that a visitor has when they visit your page is to give you their name and email address in exchange for your free offer, or leave. Once you have this information, you can pre type a series of follow up emails that are designed to weed out the non serious and non interested visitors, and prompt the serious ones to take whatever action you want for them to take.

To allow the visitor the option of giving you their information, you will need to get an auto responder account. There are many different types of auto responders and the prices range from $10/month to a $200 one time fee, depending which one you go with. This is a crucial part of your online success. Once you have your account, you will be given a tiny piece of code that can easily be inserted into your web page so you can start collecting names and email addresses.

After someone opts in, you then have the ability to develop a relationship with that person through follow up emails. You also have the ability to then market whatever products and services to that person for as long as they are on your email list. When your internet business model has a lead generating system like this in it, then you can rest assured that it is a good one to follow.

If you haven’t heard of twitter yet, then you have obviously been living under a rock for the last few years. It is one of the fastest growing social media sites in the world and ranks in the top ten most trafficked websites as well. What does this mean for you?

Opportunity to get in front of tons of people.

In order to utilize twitter correctly, you need to build up a targeted twitter following. When you do this, you can send out “tweets” to your audience. This is also one of the easiest ways to get your content to go viral. Viral content leads to more eyeballs on your offer and ultimately more money in your bank account. So how do you build up this targeted following?

The first thing you need to do is sign up for a free account if you haven’t done so already. Once you log in, you will need to upload a profile picture so people know who they are following. Some people will not take you seriously if you do not have a photo.

Then you want to plug in your website and create a unique “bio” box so that your potential followers can learn a little bit more about you. This will sway some people to follow you when they otherwise wouldn’t have done so.

Once you have this done, you are ready to go. The next step is to pick out 5-10 leaders in your niche market that already have a decent twitter following and are actively using it. When you decide on these leaders, you can view the people that are following them already. These will be the most targeted people you can find. Obviously if they are interested in learning dog training, they will be interested in learning it from person A or person B. In this case, the “guru” or industry leader is person A and you will be person B.

Then you simply start following the people that are following them already. The reason you do this is to initiate the connection. When they see that they have a new follower, they will check out your profile and assuming you are talking about stuff they are interested in, will follow you back.

The more people you follow, the more will follow you back.

So that’s all you have to do. Just go start following people and talk about what they are interested in. If you are just starting out, you will need to limit your daily following number until you have an established account. Once you have a few hundred people following you back, you can scale up the process to get even more followers, more exposure and more money in your bank account. So you want to make extra money online monthly huh? Well join the club… Thousands of people each day begin their search of making extra money online monthly, but the sad reality is that most of them never make a dime. They obviously didn’t know what I’m about to teach you in this article.

If you want to make extra money online, you have to sell something. If you want to make extra money online monthly, you have to sell something EVERY MONTH. Makes sense right? Simply put, you can create an eBay account and sell everything you own and make some money without ever leaving the house, but I’m pretty sure that’s not what you are looking to do. For example, I am building a list of people who want to learn how to make extra money online monthly. That’s why you are reading this article.

Once you have a list of people who are interested in a certain topic, the next step is to find a product that is related to that topic and offer it to them. To continue from my last example, when I find someone who wants to learn how to make extra money online monthly, I recommend a product or service that will show them how to do just that.

Now before you try and make the excuse that you don’t have a product to sell, let me fill you in on a big secret. There are THOUSANDS of other people that have already created products and services related to that topic. All you have to do is send a specific link to your list of prospects, and when they buy the product, you will earn a commission for referring them. (usually 50-75%)

This is called affiliate marketing, and it is by far the easiest way to start making money online. There is no huge out of pocket expenses or college degree necessary. All you have to do is find people that are interested in a specific topic, Find a product that is related, Make the recommendation to them, and get paid.

Seriously, it’s that easy…

Now the trick to make extra money online monthly is to find a related product that has a continuity program. This means that when you make a recommendation to this product, you will not only earn a commission for the up front sale, but each month that your referral is a member of that continuity program, you will earn a commission again and again.

I’m sure you have heard the phrase “content is king”, and when it comes to driving traffic, and making money online, that is exactly right. The more content you have available to potential customers, the better chance you have of getting the exposure that you need.

That’s why it is important to consistently come up with new content that you can submit on the web. However, sometimes it can prove to be difficult to come up with this type of content on a consistent basis. Here are 4 simple ways to leverage your articles and have a never ending flow of quality content that you can submit on a regular basis.

1. Rework your article into a press release. Press releases are not much different then articles. They are just a bit more “formal” and in most cases are not written in first person. Once you have an article written, all you have to do is turn it into a press release by making it sound like some sort of “announcement” rather then just information. The key to press releases is that you have a “bio box” or a “resource box” so that when people view it, they are directed back to your site.

2. Turn your article into a video. This is another very easy way to leverage your article for more content. You can do this one of two ways. You can sit down in front of the video camera and say the same thing that you talk about in your article, or you can actually take chunks of your article and turn them into bullet points inside a PowerPoint presentation and then record that presentation with screen recording software. Once your video is created, you will be able to submit it to directories for more exposure.

3. Turn your article into a podcast. Like video, this can be done by simply recoding an audio file of you reading your article. If you are not comfortable doing this, you can outsource this to someone who does voiceover work. One tip that I recommend is turning your article into a video first. Then you can just “extract” the audio file from the video to avoid creating a new one.

4. Use your article for the basis of a blog post. If you have followed the directions up to this point, then you should have an article, and a video that you can combine, into a powerful blog post. By using the text and video format, your blog readers will not get bored, and your post will have a higher perceived value to the visitor.

If you follow these steps for each article that you create, you will have a never ending supply of original content that you can use to gain more exposure and drive more traffic back to your websites. The amount of traffic and exposure you have, will directly relate to the amount of money you make online. The best part is that it doesn’t require any additional work on your part.

What you are about to read is an honest to goodness way to make extra money in college and in my opinion, it’s the BEST WAY. Bold statement? I don’t think so. The reason I think this is the best way is because it fits all of the “needs” of someone who wants to learn how to make extra money in college.

For example, most college students don’t have an extra 40 hours a week that they can spend earning money, and on top of that they don’t have thousands of dollars to spend on the stuff needed to start their own business. So what is my solution to make extra money in college?

The Internet… Start a web based business. Earning money online provides you with the extra cash that you need, and it meets all the requirements that you desire. Is it easy?

If you have been a part of internet marketing for very long, then you have certainly heard the phrase “the money is in the list”. The reason you hear this so often is because it is true. The more people you have on your list (and the better relationship you have with them), the more money you will earn. Blogging has become a very popular way to build your list and earn good amounts of consistent income online. In the rest of this article, I will give you a few ways to increase your opt ins on your blog, so you can start building your list fast.

The first way is by putting your opt in form in the right sidebar of your blog. You can just grab the html code from your autoresponder back office and paste it into a text widget. You can also but some text or a video above the form code, that lets the visitor know why they need to give you their name and email address. Typically, you would offer them something for free in exchange for this information. The more valuable it is, the higher opt in rate you will get.

Although having your opt in form on the sidebar is something you MUST do if you want to build your list from your blog, its not enough. I have done extensive testing on this, and the results show that less then 2% of the people that visit my blogs actually opt in to that box. Let me give you a few other ways that you may not have thought of.

Download and install a plugin that will allow your posts to be followed by a brief, prewritten “signature” or “about the author” type of box. By doing this, you will increase your sign up rate. The key to having a successful “bio box” is to make it “flow”, and seem as if it is part of the blog post itself. You also want to have a strong call to action where you send the reader to a separate squeeze page. This will eliminate any confusion to the reader and give them only one option which is to join your email list. A successful “signature box” will convert as much as 14% of the traffic that visits your blog.

Another way to maximize your opt ins on your blog is to place your opt in form on multiple pages. Don’t think for a second that just because you have it on your sidebar, people will sign up. You need to give them as many opportunities as you can. For example, create a “work with us” page and give them an opportunity to join your mailing list from that page. Another page you can create is a “join my mailing list” or “stay in the loop” type of page. This is nothing more then a new blog page with your opt in form pasted inside. Studies show that people have to be exposed to something 7 times before they make a yes or no decision. By posting your forms on multiple pages, you will give the readers many different chances to join your list.

Another way that you can increase your blog opt ins, is to use a “light box” type of opt in form. This is a feature that is offered by an autoresponder service such as aweber (and maybe GetResponse). When the user visits your blog, they are instantly presented with the opportunity to join your list before they proceed to any further content. To make this happen, you simply select the “light box” option when creating your web form, and paste the code inside your blog footer. My tests have shown that adding a light box to your blog, can capture as much as 16% of the traffic.

If you have been involved with internet marketing for more then 3 minutes, you have heard the phrase “the money is in the list”. The reason is because it is absolutely true. One of the best ways to build your email opt in list is by doing joint ventures. More specifically, ad swaps. Ad swaps are nothing more then a joint venture. You find someone who has a similar size list in the same target market and you both agree to mail each others offers to your lists. In exchange, people from your list will subscribe to theirs and visa versa.

So where do you go about finding these ad swap partners?

There are several ways to find partners to do an email ad swap with. The most popular way is to browse forums. Use your favorite search engine to find a list of forums that are related to your target market. Once you find them, see if they have a “joint venture” section or “partner” section. If not, then just network around and try to find people on your own. You are looking for people that are actively building an email list. An easy way to spot these people is to look at their signature files. If they have a link to a squeeze page or a blog where they are capturing email addresses, then you have a winner.

Another way to find potential partners is to do a search for your main keywords and seek out the people who are paying for traffic. These are the 3 and 4 line ads that can be found on the right side of the page after you do a search. Go through the list of sites that are advertising and look for the ones that are building an email list. If you see a “subscribe to my newsletter”, “get on the notification list”, “enter your email address for more information” or anything close to that, then you know that person is actively building an email list and are a potential partner.

You can also find potential ad swap partners by looking for dedicated jv sites within your niche market. Do a search for “your key phrase jv partners” or “your key phrase ad swaps”. For example, if you are in the dog training niche, you would search for “dog training jv partners” or “dog training ad swaps”. When you do this you will find dedicated sites or groups set up for this exact purpose. Just select one and run with it.

After trying the above methods, if you are still having trouble finding partners, you can search popular affiliate networks for partners. You can guarantee that if someone has a product listed in an affiliate network, then they are building a list and would make a good ad swap partner. You can start with sites like ClickBank (dot) com or AffiliateScout (dot) com. Once you are inside these networks, just find products that are in your target market and contact the owners.

These different types of sites will each play a crucial role in your success. Each one has ONE single purpose and that’s it. Here are the 3 types and their purposes.

2. Sales Page – to sell something

3. Branding Site (to brand you or your company)

Out of all the internet marketing websites, the squeeze page is the most important page that you will have. Have you heard the phrase “the money is in the list”? There are many types of branding sites but the most popular is the blog. Coming up with new blog ideas and topics to write about can be a challenging thing to do… Trust me, I know! I have spent many hours staring into the computer screen wondering what to write about. I was then introduced to a few strategies that have proved to work time and time again when I am trying to think of new blog ideas and topics to write about.

Before I get into them, you should know that I am going to be relating to the internet marketing industry because that’s what industry I’m involved in, but the strategies I give you in this article can be applied to more then just the “how to make money online” niche.

The first of the blog ideas – Write about your daily happenings.

When you are going through your regular day, just make a mental note of the things that happen and relay those things in a story form to your blog readers. I use this all the time when I am out doing normal everyday activities. When something happens in my life, I try to figure out a way to include a “marketing” or “success” lesson into it and then simply tell my story. By doing this alone, you will have blog ideas and topics flowing like crazy.

The second of the blog ideas – be the “teacher in the room”

When someone asks you a question related to the theme of your blog, that is an INSTANT blog post idea. For example, If you ask me what the first thing you need to do to start making money online, I would answer your question and then go back to my blog and type something like…

“A good friend asked me a good question the other day and I thought it was important enough to share with you. They were wondering the first thing they need to do when it comes to making money online. Here is what I told them…”

Then I would just go into the answer. See how easy that is?

The last of the blog ideas (for this article anyway) – Become a copycat.

Simply put, do what other people are doing. Visit other blogs in your niche and see what they are talking about. Then just say the same thing in your own words in a blog post. Notice I didn’t say copy their blog post.

People have different ways of saying the same things… Maybe if they have a text post about how to make cheese dip, you can relay that information into a power point video and turn that into a blog post.

Another thing you could do is read a chapter of a related book, and jot down the top 10 points that you read about. Then simply rewrite what you just read in your own words and turn it into a blog post.
