We’ve all heard the old saying, “behind every good man is a good woman”. The saying can also be, “behind every successful man is a good mentor”, because you really can’t underestimate the importance of having a good mentor. If you were to interview 10 successful people, you’d probably find that the one thing most of them have in common is that they had a mentor. A mentor can best be described as someone that you can confide in as well as someone that can teach you a lot when the going gets tough. They are usually a type of coach or an individual that has more experience than you and have reached the point in life where you hope to be someday. There are some things in life that only experience can teach us, which is another benefit of having a mentor explain these things. Even if you don’t always use your mentor on a daily basis, there’s a certain peace of mind in knowing they are there in case we need them.

For the most part, these people have very motivational people, and many of them as little kids wanted to become a life coach. To some people, they are referred to as a dream mentor. The reason for this is simple. Sometimes when you get down, your dream of the future is the only thing that can pull you back up to where you need to be. That is the job of the coach.

When you’re feeling low, and we all experience this at some time, your mentor will encourage you to “tough it out” and give you courage. Experience truly is the best teacher so listen to your mentor because they’ve either made the mistake you’re about to make or have been around someone that has.

Everyone has weaknesses of some kind. We may not realize it. You may have all feel we have all the confidence we need, but we still have weaknesses of some kind. Often it’s these weaknesses that are holding us back in life or in the business world. Your mentor will recognize these weaknesses, point them out to you and try to help you get rid of them. You may not like hearing some of things your mentor has to say, but it’s not their job to get you to like them or even to be your best friend. It’s their job to be your mentor and help you. The difference between a mentor and a friend is a friend will see you for who you are whereas a mentor will see you for who you can be.

Although you mentor will acknowledge your weaknesses, he’ll also help you bring out your strengths. A good mentor sees you weaknesses and strengths and is always honest with you. He will never tell you what you want to hear. He’ll try to get you to remove your weaknesses and bring out and enhance your strengths. These very qualities that a mentor possesses are often the very thing you need to help you reach your full potential, and build a successful computer home based business.

You can get a “virtual job” These are also known as “work from home careers”. Every business has different things that need to be done on a day to day basis. Many of these businesses will gladly pay you an hourly rate to do this work for them. You can work right from home, and they will mail you a paycheck, or directly deposit the funds into your account. These day to day activities include things such as reading and replying to emails, filling out surveys, creating company related content, and data entry.

You can work as a freelancer. If you have a unique skill, then you can perform this for interested people, and charge a fee for this. If you are a great writer, you can write content for people. If you have experience in web design, you can design or update other people’s sites. Anything that needs to be done, there are people that are willing to pay to have it done. You can get unlimited work at places like elance.com and guru.com.

You can flip websites or domain names. If you know anything about flipping houses, you can apply this knowledge and do the same thing with websites and domain names. You can find sites that have good potential but lack in design, management, or any other aspect. Once you find these sites, you can buy it, make the necessary improvements, and sell it for a profit. You can also buy domain names for cheap, and then sell them at any cost you choose.

You can claim your share of Google’s money. Sites like Google and Yahoo allow people to advertise their business on their website, and the business owner pays them a certain price every time someone clicks on their link. If you have a website or blog, you can put these related ads on your site or blog, and if someone visits your site and clicks on their ad, Google will pay you a portion of the money they make from the advertiser. This program is called AdSense. Since the price per click is generally just a few cents, it would take a large number of clicks to make any big money.

You can have a paid advertising website. If you have a website or blog that gets a large number of visitors, you can charge people to advertise their business on your website. You would want your ads to be related to your website, blog, or forum, so the business owner would get massive exposure, with people that will potentially be interested on what they are offering. Once again, you would need to have a website that gets a lot of visits everyday.

You can sell your own products or services. If you already have a business that sells a product or service, you can sell it online for a profit. Out of all the ways mentioned, this is probably the best way to make the largest amount of money. The product can be a cd’s, books, crafts, lamps, cameras, training courses, etc. The list goes on and on. It is not necessarily the fastest way, but in my opinion, it is definitely the best. There are tons of different ways to get this done. You can use “auction style” sites, such as EBay, or you can follow the traditional online business model.

You can sell other peoples products. If you like the idea of selling your own products, but you don’t have anything to sell, don’t worry. There are thousands of people out there with products to sell, and they will gladly pay you a commission to sell these products for them. This is called affiliate marketing. Companies like Amazon.com will provide you with a personalized tracking link that you can start promoting. Every time someone clicks on your affiliate link they go straight to Amazon.com. If they purchase anything, Amazon will pay you a commission for making this sell. This is also a great way to get started making money online.

Now that I have told you the 7 best ways to start making money online, my sincere hope, is that you take the next step. She says “I don’t want to go”, “It’s cold outside” I wish I could sleep for just 10 more minutes” Suzy reaches up and hits the snooze button. Next door, Jenny’s alarm goes off. She says “I don’t want to go”, “It’s cold outside” I wish I could sleep for just 10 more minutes”. Fifteen minutes later, Suzy is still in bed, and Jenny is at the gym.

What’s the difference?

Suzy focused on the process, and Jenny focused on the result. This is a common truth that successful people have. They focus on the result, and not the process. You see, most people are like Suzy, and they focus on the process. Most of the time, the process is never a fun thing to do, so most big ideas never get done. If you want to eliminate procrastination from your life you must start focusing on the result rather than the process.

It’s easy to sit on the couch and watch TV for an extra hour. It’s easy to take a nap on your lunch break. It’s easy to hit snooze in the morning. If you start focusing on the result, you will soon start to see many more dreams in your life become reality. I wont tell you that this is the easy way, because its not, but here is something that helped me along my path. Rich and successful people make a habit of doing something they do not like every single day.

If you do something for 29 straight days, it becomes a habit. Commit yourself to 30 days of doing something you don’t want to do that will move you forward in your life and/or business. Make the commitment to end procrastination once and for all. If you do this, I trust that you will be well on your way to success, with procrastination under your feet.

The final type of education is financial education. For you to be wildly successful in life, you must develop a strong financial education. The competition is very stiff and tough for those trying to be successful at internet marketing.

You may have the best website, excellent prices and what you feel is a great product and you may still have difficulty getting your business off the ground if you don’t have the right qualities for success.
